About Us
SC Cares is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting employees of the South Carolina Department of Transportation in times of extreme need. Your donations assist employees and their families by providing financial relief from unplanned, emergency situations such as natural disasters, injuries sustained on the job and on the job fatalities.
Memorial
On July 25, 2019, two SCDOT employees were killed in the line of duty in Horry County. Cecil A. Morgan, 35, and David J. Sibbick, 29, were performing patching operations on US 501 between Aynor and Conway when they were struck by a vehicle and killed.
100% of the donations received during the months of July and August will be donated to the Morgan and Sibbick families.
Online donations can be made using the link below. Donations by check should be made payable to SC Cares and mailed to SC Cares, PO Box 191, Columbia SC 29201. Cash donations can be accepted in person at 955 Park Street, Columbia SC.
